Step by Step Instructions
Be sure your truck has been off, with the hood unlatched and key fob located away from the vehicle for at least 15 minutes before installing the module. Key fob needs to continue to stay away from the vehicle for the entire installation process. This allows the computer to 'sleep' and for your engine compartment to cool down. It also helps mitigate your ECM from detecting an interruption in a sensors electrical circuit.
Step 1
The module attaches to the fuel rail pressure sensor located on the right side of the engine beneath the EGR cooler.
Step 2
Loosen the two 8MM bolts on the fuel line support beneath the EGR cooler. Slide the bracket toward the rear of the engine. The pressure sensor connector is now more accessible.
Step 3
Disconnect the factory plug from the fuel pressure sensor. Plug the module harness plug into the sensor. Make sure the latch side of the plug is toward the ramp tab of the sensor. Plug the factory plug into the module harness receptacle. Again, make sure the latch side of the plug is toward the ramp side of the receptacle.
Step 4
Route the module harness toward the right fender well. Plug the module harness into the module. Secure the module using zip ties provided or with velcro to the top of the fuse box at the right fender well.
Step 5
Plug the switch harness into the module harness. Route the switch harness into the cab of the truck to an accessible location.
Step 6
Installation complete.
How The Selector Switch Works
The dial going clockwise:
Stock - Low - Medium - High
Low: Towing heavy and low traction situations.
Medium: Moderate towing and ideal for everyday driving situations.
High: Maximum performance - ideal for empty highway cruising.
The switch must remain plugged in to stay in the desired setting. You can run the switch into the cab or leave it tied up under the hood. Leave in one setting as much as possible.
Everyone has different driving preferences, it’s suggested that you try each setting for at least a week to see what you prefer.
Bypass Plug
The Bypass Plug is included to allow removal of the module without having to uninstall the wiring harness.
Simply unplug the wiring harness from the module and plug the Bypass Plug into the harness.
The truck may now be driven without the module installed.
If You Get a Check Engine Light or Hard Start Upon Installation
Please check the connection between the truck’s wire harness and the module’s female plug and ensure it was connected properly. Improper installation will cause a CEL/hard starting.
Remove The Module Before Service Work
If you need to take your vehicle in for service work, REMOVE the module before work is performed.
