Step by Step Instructions
Be sure your truck has been off for at least 10 minutes before installing the module to allow computer to "sleep" and for your engine compartment to cool down. This way it will not detect an interruption when you unplug your sensor.
Locate the fuel pressure sensor. It is located on the back of the fuel rail on the driver's side.
Disconnect plug from the fuel sensor. Plug male connector of module's fuel sensor plug into the truck's female connector. Next, plug female end of the modules sensor. Make sure the white arrow points to where the clip connects.
Push each connection firmly to ensure complete connection
Mount module away from the hot and/or moving parts. Zip ties are provided.
Note: If you are having difficulty with the fuel pressure sensor plug on your fuel rail, practice plugging the harness plugs into themselves to get a feel for how the plug operates and locks.
Fuel Pressure Relief Valve Shim Kit Installation
WARNING: Be sure the truck has been turned off for over 15 minutes, the fuel rail contains high-pressure fuel and if ample time is not given to let the fuel pressure bleed off, serious injury or damage to the vehicle can occur. Please wear the proper protective equipment when removing the FPRV valve. (safety glasses, gloves)
How The Selector Switch Works
The dial going clockwise:
Stock - Low - Medium - High
Low: Towing heavy and low traction situations.
Medium: Moderate towing and ideal for everyday driving situations.
High: Maximum performance - ideal for empty highway cruising.
The switch must remain plugged in to stay in the desired setting. You can run the switch into the cab or leave it tied up under the hood. Leave in one setting as much as possible.
Everyone has different driving preferences, it’s suggested that you try each setting for at least a week to see what you prefer.
If You Get a Check Engine Light or Hard Start Upon Installation
Please check the connection between the truck’s wire harness and the module’s female plug and ensure it was connected properly. Improper installation will cause a CEL/hard starting.
Remove The Module Before Service Work
If you need to take your vehicle in for service work, REMOVE the module before work is performed.
